This is an excellent AV receiver that is a little difficult to setup but provides lots of options and good sound. The manual, by itself, is useless but with Batpig’s online guide it becomes serviceable.
Would I buy it all over again, knowing what I know now? Yes. Would I recommend it to a friend?

The Denon AVR1610 home theater receiver is a great performer for the home theater. This is my first such unit and was pleasantly surprised at all the features.
It has automatic volume control to manage those loud commercials. The included sense microphone can be used to set the tone balance depending on room environment and speaker quality. Very cool.
